Yep…I am totally freaking out. I know nothing about Malaysia and have no idea where I will be going or what it will be like, but it will happen, and I will survive. I’ve packed my bags, I am writing my first blog post, and the time has come. It has been a long time coming…I got my wisdom teeth out, went to probably twenty doctors appointments, almost completely bought out my local CVS’s supply of imodium, sunscreen, and bug spray, quit my job, and have seen all but three family members (I have a huge family)!

In terms of logistics, I am flying out late New Years Day, with a layover in Hong Kong. There is a 13 hour time difference between New York City and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia’s capital city), with Kuala Lumpur ahead (GMT+8). Feel free to contact me through Facebook, WhatsApp, Signal, or email.
Last but not least, thank you to John Patrick Loughlin, my dear uncle who has his own bike lock company and came up with my blog title! Also, thank you to all the friends and family who helped me come up with possible blog titles for the past few weeks…from GingerMeetsWorld to TheTravellingCarrot, to TheLostCloug…they were all great ideas, I love you!
Lots of Love, and Selamat Tahun Baru (Happy New Year),
Clare
